Angus McCarthy

Born just south of Dublin, Ireland Angus was born into a family whose main income came from pig farming and ditch digging. While being a prestigious set of careers, Angus was left with a lackluster feeling, as well as an incredibly rank smell, and so left his family at an early age to join a little known band of pig-farming musicians called "Irish Slop". Angus played lead kick-bucket... literally, as well as doing some of the back-up vocals. Unfortunately, the other three band memebers died of toxic alchohol levels shortly after a Dublin festival whose name translates roughly to "Alchohol till you die."

During a mournful period of self-loathing, Angus met fellow s-o member Roy Branagan in a little known hole in the wall bar. Angus had been wallowing in a puddle of his own vomit, breathing the chords to one of Irish Slop's hits. Roy was mildly impressed by the tenacity of the man and so kicked him in the ribs, woke him up, and after wiping him off, convinced him to come back to America. Well, soon afterwards, they lost touch with one another, and only recently have been brought back together in order to play in the s-o touring band. Far from his kick-bucket roots, Angus has taken a few Bass lessons, and now pounds out some of the more deadly baselines of the band. In addition, he can sometimes be coerced into bringing out the bucket and thumping along for a song or two.
