Roy Branagan
Roy Branagan is the touring guitarist for tha legendary band strap-on. He
Usually plays guitar, though when there are no guitar parts required, he
runs over to a vacant keyboard, and helps out with the keyboard parts. He
may also run over to some vacant electronic drum pads and give rhythm
assistance. Roy plays only Black Les pauls. He uses ART SGX2000 and
Digitech effects processors, and has a special black les paul fitted with a
Roland GR-01 guitar synth. He also uses crappy equipment he finds at
thrift stores and garage sales, except for the synth, which he plays
through standard sound reinforcement equipment. (a carvin 1200 watt amp &
carvin loudspeakers).
Roy Grew up in Brooklyn, and learned to play blues guitar from Rheumatiz
Sam, an old black man. He unfortunately also learned to drink from that
same man. He moved to Chicago at the age of 19, and started playng in
clubs until he met Ed, and joined a real band (pun intended). He spends
most of his money on jagermeister, and the rest on guitar equpiment. He
spends most of his time With Angus MacCarthy, his S-O bandmate, in bars
in the chicago area. He is 23.
