In my desire to satisfy my unending curiosity about the lives of others, I came to the conclusion that photography was the optimum medium to employ. I went into the homes of others and began to photograph their possessions and personal spaces.
Instead of satiating the voyeur within me, I have only come upon uncertainty.
Do people really want to be known through their possessions? If so, what percentage of their home is really them and what percentage has been treated and prepared specifically for me? Was this phenomena effected by money and space? Who, if anyone, from the house was doing the propping and styling of it, and why?
The interiors presented here are no longer about the inhabitants, but rather about our ability to come to conclusions about these people and the "realness" of their environments.
